Why Doesn't It Look Like The Image On My Monitor?

Unusual as it may seem these days, these profiles are...

To order profiles simply download and open the target images by clicking on:  CONDITIONS TO DOWN LOAD TARGETS - , and then print the three targets using Photoshop or a similar program.  It is critical that you do not permit your printer software to modify either the size or the color characteristics of the target images.

Profiles are $32.00 each

I strongly suggest you print the targets using some version of Photoshop, as the internal color controls in Photoshop are excellent.  You then can use the resulting ICC profiles in any of the printing - graphic imaging programs such as Lightroom.

Since you chose to find this page, I assume you are seriously interested in producing quality digital photographic prints. Specifically, to produce prints that closely 'match' the image on your monitor. If you are not an experienced profile user, explore the information areas listed on the left side of this page.  You will learn the basic information necessary to maximizing the color output of your printer.

Likely you have put significant money and effort into all the equipment and software required to produce a fine digital print. Why allow the printer to not produce the best possible print it is capable of?

A custom profile will do two things for your print quality (while reducing printing costs): first it will produce a very close match between your calibrated monitor image and your printer output, and secondly, a custom profile will take advantage of the maximum color gamut capability (see Color Management Info) of your printer.  Using the full gamut that your specific printer is capable of, is like adding more colors to your crayon box.  Strange as it sounds, manufacture's printer profiles most often don't take advantage of the maximum gamut of your specific printer - see Color Management Information.

There are now many sites on the web that sell printer profiles.  Why use this one?  To continue on, click .... Here
